Project Description

To provide education for slum children through learning centers and mainstream schools, prevent drop outs and child labor, and to promote child rights clubs.

Program Roadmap

•  Running motivational centers for children to attain minimum learning levels per age
•  Enrolling children into main stream schools
•  Training programs for teachers of government schools
•  Strengthening the Basti Education Committee to monitor schools
•  Strengthening women's Self-help groups

Accomplishments

•  Provides education for 70 children through 2 learning centers with mid-day meals provided at the learning centers
•  Provides literacy and skills training to 95 adolescent girls
•  Formed 10 child rights clubs in 10 govt./private schools, and parents committees in 10 school
