The Karnataka State Government announced on childrens day that Mr. Ramanjaneya, Director of SNEHA, an NGO working in Kudligi, Bellary won the 2007 award as "Distinguished Social worker with Children" . This award is given jointly by Department of Women and Child Development, Education, Karnataka Council for Child Welfare, and state society of BalBhavans.

ILP has been supporting Mr.Ramanjaneya's "Our Village School Movement" project  since the last 6 years in the Kudligi area. Mr.Ramanajaneya and his team have achieved tremendous success in working with the communities in Kudligi, to ensure all children are in school and learning. Mr.Ramanajaneya is a gold medalist in civil engineering, who has devoted his life to working for social causes and has built a vibrant organization of dedicated volunteers.
