The Children were working either to look after livestock or involved in domestic chores . Nearly 1900 children have been rehabilitated over the last 4 years.

Project Roadmap

•  Mobilise community to take up the responsibility to build better school environment and gradually manage 'the quality education for all' programme in the villages.
•  Added 12 more villages to the existing 10 villages taking the total to 22 villages in 6 gram Panchayaths belonging to two blocks namely Shrinagar and Silora. The idea here is to strengthen SDMCs and involve SHGs to universalise the primary education. Also the members of Village Education Committees, formed under the earlier NFE programme, were also helped to get membership in SDMCs so that they can continue to work for cause of education.
