ILP is honored to be among the select organizations invited by the Ministry of Women & Child Development for the “Civil Society Organization (CSOs) Connect” program held between 11th and 21st December 2023.

This unique opportunity allowed us to engage with Smriti Irani, Cabinet Minister of MWCD, and Dr. Munjpara Mahendrabhai, Minister of State of MWCD.

We got a chance to explore the PRADHANMANTRI SANGRAHALAYA a state-of-the-art museum showcasing the achievements of India’s Prime Ministers, offering valuable insights into post-independence history.

A visit to Rashtrapati Bhavan provided guided tours, enhancing understanding of India’s rich heritage.

At Vigyan Bhavan on 20th December 2023, Joint Secretaries presented the Ministry’s progress over the last decade on flagship programs such as Mission Shakthi, Mission Vatsalya, Mission Saksham Anganwadi, and Poshan 2.0.

We actively contributed by sharing our work in Kalaburagi district on Early Childhood Education with AWW/AWH, seeking clarification on NEP.

Officials affirmed that ECE remains with AWC under the WCD ministry.

Hon’ble Minister Smriti Irani addressed issues about child safety, child marriages, child abuse, and other related programs, urging NGOs to communicate specific state or program-related concerns via email for Ministry’s attention.

The meeting facilitated collaboration with fellow Civil Society Organization (CSOs), fostering knowledge exchange.

ILP is grateful to MWCD and NIPCCD officials for their outstanding coordination and support in organizing this impactful program.
