Do you know that many students from lower economic strata do not opt for higher education after finishing Grade 12—not because they lack dreams, but because no one is around to remind them those dreams still matter.

We at ILP understand that the dreams of these children too matter and hence we decided to do something about it. Speak to them in school, encourage them to think about college, but once they step out, distractions take over. Without steady follow-up, it’s easy for them to drift into whatever work comes first—spinning mills, construction sites, shops. What starts as a temporary job quickly becomes their reality.

We believe this can change—but only if we involve the people who influence them the most: their parents.

A well-timed conversation, a heartfelt message, a letter that speaks to their hopes for their children—these can shift mindsets. That’s why our team has created clear, visual communication designed to connect with parents and gently open the door to new opportunities. It’s about showing them what’s possible.

We’re starting with the parents of 250 students who are hardest to reach. We follow-up with phone calls and, wherever possible, meet them in person. We pay special attention to the parents of girls—to prevent child marriages.

This is more than outreach. It’s about ensuring every student and their family knows their education doesn’t end here — and that they have the support they need, every step of the way, to unlock a future full of possibilities.
