Before asking children to learn by doing, 24 teachers in Chhatarpur got to do it themselves.

The teachers experimented, observed and explored the possibilities of ILP’s Science Kit and thought about how they could bring the same experience into their own science classrooms.

That was the focus of a hands-on training organised by our 𝗡𝗚𝗢 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿, 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗮𝗹𝗽 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗷 𝗦𝗲𝘃𝗶 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗵𝗮. The training helped teachers strengthen their practical science teaching skills and put the experiential learning approach of 𝗡𝗘𝗣 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟬 into practice.

The teachers explored the science kit and worked with experiments that they can now take back to their classrooms, making science more interactive and engaging for their students.

The programme was supported by 𝗥. 𝗣. 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗷𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶, 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿, 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗖𝗵𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗽𝘂𝗿, who encouraged teachers to make experiments a regular part of classroom teaching and distributed the science kits to participating schools.

He also acknowledged the initiative’s contribution to the holistic development of children in the district and its role in putting NEP 2020’s emphasis on experiential and activity-based learning into practice. His assurance of the department’s full support for the programme’s implementation and expansion is an important step towards making this approach a regular part of science learning across the district.
