Quality Education in Partnership with Tamil Nadu Government

Today, providing quality education is perhaps the most important function of the government. And India Literacy Project is immensely proud to join hands with Tamil Nadu government in furthering this wonderful cause of quality education for all.

India Literacy Project Country Manager Asuri Rangarajan is happy to hand over the science kit to Hon’ble Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, Minister for School Education, Tamil Nadu at the golden jubilee celebrations of Perunthalaivar Kamarajar Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Ambattur.

In this school, India Literacy Project has gifted a child friendly library and developed a career corner to commemorate their golden jubilee which was inaugurated by T. Raman, the Chief Educational Officer, Tiruvallur district in the presence of Ms. Vanitha Rani, School Head Mistress.

It’s a matter of pride that India Literacy Project has been relentlessly working across Tamil Nadu to spread quality education with some humble statistics:

  • Directly working in 12 districts, strengthening 588 schools and benefitting 181715 students
  • Working through partner NGOs in 5 districts, 903 schools and Anganwadi centers, benefitting 155077 students

These small steps will surely lead to longer strides to cover more districts. Stay tuned for future updates as we progress.
