IMPROVING LEARNING THROUGH

Multi-Dimensional Learning Spaces

India Literacy Project (ILP) designed a unique learning framework and pedagogy via our Multi Dimensional Learning Spaces (MDLS) that transforms schools into learning spaces that create capable and confident students by equipping teachers with purpose built tools (hands on/experiential science kits, digital content) and techniques to increase student learning and classroom engagement

Approach

ILP acknowledges the central role of teachers in schools and our interventions are built around teachers as the key facilitators of in-school learning. Guiding stars of all our learning interventions are

  • All subjects are equally important
  • Learning doesn’t start or end at school
  • Teachers are critical in facilitating the learning process
  • Varied teaching and learning methods motivates a wider range of students

We leverage technology to improve learning by combining traditional teaching with interactive experiences, and help the teachers use multiple teaching methods to cater to varied styles of learning.

We create innovative learning resources and process frameworks that are easy to use, open source and can be owned and modified by the teachers that use them.

The MDLS program is designed for students in grades 5 through 10. We also have programs focused on improving learning in Primary Schools and Preschools.
