As per World Health Organization (WHO) “health” is a fundamental human right.

When it comes to women, right to health must be enjoyed without discrimination on the grounds of race, age, ethnicity or any other status.

Teaching healthy hygiene habits to girls right from school is the responsibility of teachers and parents alike.

Towards this, HOPE, NGO has been conducting training on personal and menstrual hygiene for government school girl students for the past 5 years. This also includes training to make cloth, reusable and eco-friendly sanitary napkins.

India Literacy Project joined hands with HOPE to organize training on 29th November, for 149 students of 8th and 9th standard in GHSS, Pudhunagar, Chennai.
