Celebrating Anganwadi Graduation Day!

India Literacy Project is very proud of the little stars who graduated from Anganwadi center to take their next steps into the academic world.

A total of 85 students and 17 teachers and ayaahs from 17 Anganwadi centers attended the graduation ceremony and the annual day function at new Patel Nagar Anganwadi centre, Amberpet, Hyderabad.

The role of Anganwadis is to lay the foundation for a child’s holistic development in terms of physical/motor, cognitive, language, socio-emotional and creative side.

Anganwadis also involve mothers closely to help fight against malnutrition and reduce mortality rates and school dropout rates amongst children.

Children usually join Anganwadis when they are around 3 years and graduate after 2 years.

A big thank you to united way of Hyderabad for all the support during this entire project.
